100 for the 100th: Be Our Guest

A Centennial is both an opportunity and a challenge. It is an opportunity to celebrate the past 100 years and where we are today, but it also challenges us to re-imagine the role of an orchestra in our community.

During the Centennial season in 2018/19, the LA Phil will distribute 100 complimentary concert tickets to an unprecedented 100 concerts at Walt Disney Concert Hall.

By distributing tickets through the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, the 100 for the 100th: Be Our Guest ticket program will increase access to those who may not have otherwise been able to attend a concert.

The LA Phil will also expand its reach to students and faculty at community colleges across Southern California. Unlike other complimentary ticket programs where patrons would be seated in the balcony, the 100 for the 100th program’s tickets are located in the Terrace and Orchestra East/West sections, providing an intimate concert experience.

The contributions of Centennial Campaign donors help underwrite ticket purchases, which will make 100 concerts available to a wide cross-section of music lovers across the County. Donors Terri and Jerry Kohl and Gunjit and Margarete Sikand / The Sikand Foundation have made lead gifts to begin to underwrite ticket purchases for the program.
